Gilberto Garcia-Tuńon, a founding partner with SGT Group, a Hospitality Development and Management company, with headquarters in Miami, Florida is known for being a leader in the
hospitality industry. With over 25 years of experience, Gilberto’s background ranges from 8 ground-up hotel openings to working at iconic properties such as the Biltmore Hotel in Coral Gable and running The Raleigh, Miami Beach, known as The Grand Dame, and the longest standing hotel built in Miami Beach, operating under the same name since 1940 and positioned it to sell as the most expensive, per key hotel sale in South Florida’s history at the time of sale.

Before The Raleigh, Gilberto served as General Manager of Hilton Hotels & Resorts newest property, Hilton Cabana, Miami Beach, In this role, he oversaw the pre-opening phase as well as general operations of the beachfront resort post opening. Before joining Hilton, he served at ONE Bal Harbour Resort & Spa as Property Resort Director and General Manager. During his five-year tenure, he played an integral role in growing the hotel to one of Miami’s most luxurious destinations, positioning it to be sold to Ritz Carlton, who is now running the resort. During this time, he also held office in the City of Bal Harbour as Resort Tax Committee Member.
